How can I wash my WARM ME and do
I have to use a special kind of detergent?

WASH WITH WOOL FABRIC
DETERGENT AND GLYCERINE.

130 fibres per sheet, 150 fibres per shirt, and from 260 to 1,900 fibres per fleece jacket… That’s how many synthetic chemical fibres are released by washing machine every wash cycle.They are pumped directly into the wastewater and constitute a major environmental problem. Not with WARM ME! Join us in making a difference! Hand wash in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild wool detergent or gentle shampoo. Do not leave wool submerged in water but rather soak it for a short time. Squeeze and massage your garment gently to wash. Dry cleaning is NOT recommended. Do NOT use fabric softener nor detergent with bleach or other colour brighteners. To treat spots, rinse them as soon as possible with cold water.

RINSE MULTIPLE TIMES.

Rinse multiple times at an even temperature and gently squeeze to remove the excess water. Do not rub harshly nor wring it out. Tip: in the last rinse, add a fingertip’s worth of glycerine to the water to avoid pilling

LET DRY IN A COOL PLACE.

Try not to hang up your cashmere pullover. Lay it on a flat surface on a towel instead and reshape it if necessary. Then leave to dry completely, turning it 2-3 times. Do NOT leave it on a heater or in the sun. For further storage please keep it folded in your cupboard to retain its shape. Anything else would be a great loss. No one wants to say good-bye to a dear friend before their time.

USE A DE-PILLING DEVICE OR A DRY RAZOR.

Pilling is a natural part of all wool garments and does not imply poor quality. Even the finest Cashmere yarns will start to pill when worn regularly. Pilling can be prevented by using glycerine during washing. Pills can be removed by using a de-pilling device (sweater shaver) or a dry razor. The ideal time to de-pill the wool is after washing, when the wool is still slightly damp

CASHMERE HAS MORE DRAPE THAN BOUNCE – BUT THERE’S GOOD NEWS.

You might have noticed it yourself: Your favourite beanie gets wider the more you wear it. So yes, cashmere does stretch. As a fibre it has more drape than bounce and can’t readily spring back to its original shape that easily. Hence it is important that you store your cashmere folded in a drawer or on a shelf. Be kind to it and don’t hang it up either. Because you might have guessed it already, gravity has a tendency to enforce stretching in cashmere – especially while being wet and heavy with water.

Tip: If it should regain its original size, hand wash it as read above and it is going to be like new again.
