How do I best care for my WARM ME cashmere?

Air instead of wash

Washing shortens the lifespan of wool. Air your cashmere piece after wearing it instead of washing it.

Wash with wool detergent & glycerin

Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild wool detergent. No fabric softener, no bleach. A fingertip of glycerin prevents pilling.

Rinse thoroughly

Rinse several times at an even temperature and gently squeeze. Do not rub or wring.

Dry in a cool place

Lay flat on a towel, shape, and let dry. Do not hang, do not place on the heater or in the sun. Store folded.

Frequent questions about cashmere care

How can pilling be removed?

Use a de-pilling device or a dry razor. Pilling is a natural part of all wool garments and does not signify poor quality. It can be prevented by using glycerin during washing. The ideal time to de-pill is after washing, when the wool is still slightly damp.

Cashmere has more drape than bounce. The fiber doesn't return to its original shape as easily, so store your cashmere folded and don't hang it. Tip: If it has stretched, handwash it as described above – and it will be like new again.
